The important partnership with the team of the world champion Petter Solberg has been renewed, for the supply of the safety equipment for the car, the driver, and the mechanics, for the WRC 2010 championship.
Petter Solberg has chosen to install in the interior of the cockpit of his car, a Citroen C4 WRC – the full equipment, from the seat to the fire extinguisher, to the steering wheel. All the members of the team will also wear the OMP technical clothing.
The supply includes a carbon steering wheel, and a particular safety belt, entirely devised, planned and realized by the company’s Research and Development Laboratory located in the head office of Ronco Scrivia (Genova); the most innovative materials were used, in order to combine the safety and the lightness of the product at its best.
On the occasion of the next Swedish Rally (11th to 14th February 2010), the OMP HTE – ONE,the lightest seat in the world for car races, will make its debut on Peter Solberg’s car; (8,9 kg is the weight of the shell, up to a maximum of only 9,9 kg in trial-configuration), consistent with the strict FIA regulation 8862-2009.
